Joint Announcement of Settlement

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, January 15, 1989

Mr. Leif Ek, President of Nobelpharma AB, and Dr. Gerald A. Niznick, President of Core-Vent Corporation, announced today that Nobelpharma and Core-Vent Corporation have entered into a confidential settlement of all litigation pending between them.

Nobelpharma has granted Core-Vent Corporation a license under certain of its patents related to dental implants. Core-Vent Corporation has acknowledged that Nobelpharma’s U.S. Patent No. 4,330,891 is valid.

Both companies were pleased to reach an amicable end to the controversy between them.
